Hey there! My name is Eshika Paruchuri, founder of the Healthy Teens Initiative. I am a student of Woodbridge Academy Magnet School, in New Jersey. I have a big interest in healthcare and a passion for learning about ways to improve teen health and health awareness. It has always been my interest to learn about healthy lifestyles and nutrition which inspired me to educate teens to build a healthy teens website that provides practical suggestions from well-experienced doctors globally.
As a teenager myself, I find so many things to keep up with during these years—stress from school, extracurricular activities, friendships, family expectations, and the constant motivation to stay fit and healthy.
Being a teenager today means balancing a lot: struggling to get enough sleep, steering through insecurities, trying to feel confident, and striving to do well academically. This lead me to start this podcast. I wanted to create a space where we could have honest conversations about the challenges teens face and explore practical tips for staying healthy, both mentally and physically–with advice from doctors!
On the Healthy Teens Podcast, I’ll be talking with doctors across various specializations, about mental health, fitness, diet, harmful diseases we may come across, common medical myths, statistics, and what teens can do to keep a healthy body. My goal is to provide factual and helpful content that helps us all feel more empowered to make healthier choices and take care of ourselves. Join me as we dive into topics like managing stress, building better habits, understanding mental health, and navigating the ups and downs of teen life.
Empower teens with straightforward advice and resources to navigate the ups and downs of growing up. Join us as we tackle health, happiness, and everything in between with medical advice and a positive outlook.
I want to reach audiences in both urban and rural areas globally, spreading the impact of having a healthy lifestyle for a better future and also educating them in the field of healthcare. Sometimes we may not care about health concerns that may arise in the future, thinking we have time before dealing with them. The best gift we can give to our future selves is a healthy body and mindset because, by the time you age, you may be cleared of having to deal with lots of health issues and avoiding a mindset where you wish that you didn’t do certain things to put your health at risk. So let’s build healthy lives for a long-lasting future!
